NCX

2023 - 2024

Designed a marketplace helping landowners discover and evaluate natural capital opportunities.

Carbon credit markets faced increasing skepticism, and NCX needed to pivot beyond carbon credits. I created cross-functional research workshops and partnered with the CPO to lead Product Market Fit research sprints, identifying market signals and new product opportunities.
As the Founding Designer, I led the 0 to 1 design of a new platform where landowners could discover, evaluate, and compare programs like solar, regenerative agriculture, and tree planting.

Partnering with Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Product, I designed and launched 40+ features across 2 products.

The final experience helped landowners find the right opportunities for their land goals, generated more referrals than the previous business model and delivered measurable financial impact.

“Vic was a key contributor on PMF efforts, which led to real revenue in the pipeline. She has been critical in infusing good discovery practices into the sales motion, which has been cited multiple times by BizDev as a positive evolution.”

- Chief Product Officer, NCX

“The NCX platform is easy to use and
navigate and allowed me to compare the costs and benefits of various programs in plain, easy-to-understand language that incorporated the unique attributes of my own property.”

NCX 2022 - 2023

Redesigned a carbon credit marketplace prioritizing data visualization to reduce risk and empower landowners.

NCX was a natural capital marketplace connecting landowners selling carbon credits to corporate buyers with net-zero goals.

We identified an opportunity to transition to an order book model—typical in financial markets—to create price transparency and give landowners direct control over their carbon credit sales.
I led the design of a new order book experience over ~5 weeks, giving landowners access to live market data for the first time.

Knowing that market data visualization would be high-impact for users but high effort to build, I prioritized getting proof of concepts and prototypes in front of landowners early to ensure we could launch on time.

After launch, we saw a 4x growth in supply on the platform, reduced risk, and increased matches.

“You cannot get any easier than reading the screen’s instructions and clicking a button!”

- Landowner Platform user

“NCX has created a simplified market place for landowners, where they feel comfortable in the process and know exactly what they are selling and how they will be paid. The red tape and grey areas have been removed.”

NCX
2022

Designed a real-time carbon credit map to help buyers discover and purchase nearby credits faster.

After launching the carbon credit marketplace MVP, I partnered with Marketing, Business Operations, and Engineering to design a near real-time carbon credits map, giving buyers visual access to available credits from landowners for the first time. This interactive map enabled the first geo-specific carbon credit purchase, and generated revenue.

NCX
2022 - 2024

Built and scaled the first design system, supporting three (3) products.

As Founding Designer at NCX, I designed and scaled the first design system across multiple products to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality. I partnered with engineers to craft reusable and accessible components, align on implementation, and establish best practices. The design system increased team velocity, empowered PMs and others to create rapid proof of concepts, and enabled earlier stakeholder buy in on new features. The 40+ components defined supported three products.

Spora Health (Mommas)2021 – 2022

Led design strategy for award-winning companion app and kit.

Spora Mommas focused on addressing the systemic problem of Black women being 2x more likely to die during childbirth due to implicit healthcare bias. The market lacked apps that combined physical vital monitoring with culturally-competent support.
As Founding Designer, I led design strategy across 2 external partner agencies, defined the design vision, conducted research sprints, and owned all design decisions. Working with industrial designers at Leadoff Studio, I designed a companion app and kit experience to align with the program.
The impact was real: the app helped save a pregnant woman's life by empowering her to self-advocate for necessary care. Post-launch, we achieved a 100 NPS score and won a Core 77 Design Award.

Spora Health2021

Redesigned a culture-centered primary care app.

Spora Health was a virtual primary care app bringing culture-centered care to Black Americans across iOS, Android, and web.

As a design generalist, I worked across product design, research, design systems, content strategy, and digital/physical marketing while scaling design processes company-wide.
I led the redesign and launch of both the primary care MVP and HIPAA-compliant provider experience, delivering key features including patient chat, personalized health plans, health risk monitoring, and appointment management.
